Always Go Where The Love Is

Someone I love says there are only two kinds of people in the world: People who want love and people who’ve already found it. That may or may not be true, but every time Valentine’s Day comes around, it’s pretty easy to figure out which boat we’re in.

The paradox of love is we can’t give what we don’t have. It’s why we put the oxygen mask on ourselves first, with self-love and self-care. We can’t pour from an empty cup, but we can fill it up by taking our daily meds:

-Meditation

-Exercise

-Diet

-Sleep

We take your M-E-D-S by making sure we take time to reflect and recharge, by getting and staying in better shape and by eating nutritious food and getting the good night’s sleep our body needs. Loving ourselves is the big first step to loving others and being loved in return. We get love by giving it away, and gain even more love in return. We can’t keep it unless we give it away, and we give it away by some of the following suggestions:

*volunteering

*complimenting others

*being kind to strangers

*donating to charities

*calling people just to tell them we love them

*praying for others

*appreciating the little things and everyone and everything in our lives

Remember, we can’t get love unless we give love. Give love to ourselves first and then let it spill over onto our neighbors, friends, family and the people we care most about. Do that and we might just find that a certain special someone we care for, cares about us even more.

It’s one reason I always end every TV show with the simple saying… “Always, always, always go where the love is.” If you haven’t watched my televisions shows feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel here:https://www.youtube.com/@SusanFoxley/featured

Thank you for reading and sharing! Many blessings, Susan
